On the basis of Profotech CJSC the Landis + Gyr metering device and the Profotech fibre optic instrument current and voltage transducer functional compatibility tests performed under the IEC 61850-9-2LE protocol have been successfully completed. ZMQ802C is the first Landis + Gyr metering device, supporting digital protocol of instantaneous current and voltage transfer. Confirmation of compatibility between the Profotech fibre optic instrument current and voltage transducer and the Landis + Gyr metering device is an essential step in creation of “digital substations”, since the use of this equipment allows creating AIMS EPFA (Automated information and measuring systems for electric power fiscal accounting) on the basis of fully digital devices. In the course of tests performed under the IEC 61850-9-2LE protocol the test digital signal was set on the Landis + Gyr ZMQ802C metering device from the electron optical conversion unit of the Profotech fibre optic instrument current and voltage transducer. The metering device readings were traced visually on the device’s display and were compared with the readings taken with the use of the Omicron SVScout software. The close accuracy of the current and voltage values was established and the full functional compatibility of the Profotech electron optical conversion unit and the ZMQ802Cmetering device was confirmed. It is to be recalled that functional compatibility tests of the Profotech equipment were previously performed with the following devices, supporting the IEC 61850-9-2LE protocol:
Also, the Profotech equipment compatibility is confirmed with the Omicron test devices. Confirmation of compatibility with the Landis+Gyr metering devices allows asserting that the Profotech equipment is compatible with the full range of the substation secondary equipment. Thus, all obstacles on the way of “digital substations” creation are eliminated. |
